All 336 cards of the five Japanese releases are listed, and none of them is reconstructed from a list of names. The counts match the card database that holds the Japanese scans: 25 in February, 86 in March, 99 in July, and 63 and 63 in December. 27 of them print past the end of their own set and are shown as printed rather than normalised — every one is a full-art, gold or secret card, and the July concept pack contributes six.
The Japanese printing is the first-hand source here. Type, HP, retreat cost, illustrator, every attack with its cost and its Japanese text, and the Japanese rules text of every Trainer are read from a Japanese listing of the card. English supplies two things only: the official English card name, and the verdict on whether the English printing is the same card. All 31 Trainers and 3 Energy cards were read off the card face for their Japanese names, and all 263 Pokémon names came from a species database, because the Japanese packs print nothing but the name itself.
The secret cards are filled in from two different places, and every one says which. 17 full-art cards are reprints of a card inside the same pack, so their attacks come from that ordinary printing — Virizion-EX 009 for its full art at 077, and so on. The 4 gold cards have no twin in their pack at all: Exeggcute, Virizion, Dusknoir and Rare Candy exist only in gold, so their text comes from the English printing of the same card in Plasma Blast (102–105). 16 cards on this page borrow a field from another card and each says so on its face. No attack is invented, and where nothing exists the field stays empty.
207 of the 336 cards reach English inside 2013, and the last 125 cross in February 2014. Shiny Collection's 25 go to Legendary Treasures as RC1–RC25 in November; Megalo Cannon's 86 go to Plasma Blast in August, all unchanged; 95 of EX Battle Boost's 99 go to Legendary Treasures; and Tierno is out in the Kalos Starter Set on 8 November, five weeks before Japan prints it. What is left over is December's two packs, and XY on 5 February 2014 takes 125 of their 126. 4 cards of this year have no English printing at all — Imakuni? and the three Pokémon Enterprise. The method is name, HP, number of attacks, each attack's damage reduced to its digits, and at least one attack name matching after normalising case and punctuation.
Every -EX card is a Basic, and that was settled on the card face. Chandelure-EX and Excadrill-EX evolve from a two-stage line, so a list built from the Pokédex puts them at Stage 2; the card itself says たね in the top-left corner, and so does every other EX in the year. Mega Evolution is printed as its own stage, not as a Basic — M Venusaur-EX and M Blastoise-EX are the only two, at 230 and 220 HP, and they evolve from the EX of the same Pokémon, which is why each of those two lines prints three cards.
One pack prints no rarity letters, and the page does not invent them. All 99 cards of EX Battle Boost carry nothing in the corner where C, U, R, SR or UR would sit, so the column reads — on every one of them. No other year in this archive does this, and it is the reason the 99 cards of July run in a single list rather than in tiers.
The rarity letters are kept as they print, with the new one spelled out. Japanese cards this year carry C, U, R, SR, UR — and from December, RR. RR is not a new kind of card: it is the ordinary printing of a Pokémon-EX, and there are exactly 8 of them, four in each December pack, paired with the three full-art secrets in the same pack. The eight sets of this archive's earlier years have no RR at all, which is how the debut is dated.
About the scans and what is not here. All 336 card faces are full-size scans, each one shown here scaled down from that original — the smallest is a full 300 pixels across. The BW-P promo series, the league and Battle Road cards, the film tie-ins, the 30-card deck set and the two XY half decks are all real 2013 cards and none is listed, because none has a per-card release date and distribution condition that could be verified. 4 cards carry no illustrator credit on the face at all — Imakuni? and the three Pokémon Enterprise, which sign themselves — so that field is empty rather than guessed. The five numbered packs are complete — 336 cards, 21 of them secret — and that is the whole claim this page makes.
