CardSpicy reference archive
Thirty-one years, told one physical publication edition at a time.
This is not a translated card database. It is a year-by-year archive of what was actually printed in each Pokémon TCG publication edition, from Japan’s first 1996 expansion through the 2026 Mega Evolution year.
CardSpicy’s Pokémon TCG Almanac currently contains 59 year pages for the Japanese and English editions, covering 1996–2026 and 35,747 card entries. Editions outside those two are documented as far as their evidence goes. Where it reaches release level only, the edition gets a release register instead of a card archive — 13 exist so far, linked in the table below — and no card-level claims are made for it. 10 of those sets also have their own single-set page — the full checklist, rarity structure and product data for one product — listed under “Browse by single set”. The Simplified Chinese edition is documented as a release register with 21 verified physical releases for 2022–2026.
Find a card — search the current archive by name, number, set code, year or edition.
The Simplified Chinese line is documented at release level: 21 verified physical releases on record for 2022–2026, each with its own date precision and evidence level. It is a release register, not a card-level archive — no card counts are claimed for it, and nothing is copied over from the Japanese or English edition.

Physical releases recorded in the edition registers over the past year, newest first. A product that shipped in several editions on the same day is listed once, with the number of editions beside it. Only rows with an official or secondary source and a date on or before today appear — an announced product is not treated as released. Each link opens the exact row in a register, which lists every release on record rather than only these.
The archive follows the game’s mechanical eras rather than a single international release calendar. Because Japanese and English printings did not always ship the same sets in the same year, each era links to the year pages themselves.

Every live link below is a finished edition page. Counts are card entries on that page, not unique artworks: the same card can appear once in the Japanese archive and again in the English archive when both physical printings exist.
A year page answers “what came out this year”. These pages answer “what is in this one product”: one page per set, with its own product data, rarity structure and full card checklist. Only sets whose records are complete enough to show every card get a page — the list below is the whole of them, not a selection.

A set page never restates them.
The Pokémon Company publishes physical cards in 16 languages. Two lines have full card-level year archives here today. An edition that has its own verified release evidence gets a release register — dates, evidence level, and gaps, with no card-level claims attached. The rest stay in research until their physical releases, names, dates, and packaging can be documented edition by edition.

No planned edition is linked to a placeholder page. A language is added only after its own physical products are verified; Japanese and English data are never copied over to fill another edition.
The site interface and editorial notes are in English. “Edition” always means the language and physical print line of the cards, not a translated version of the interface.
dateModified comes from the source files’ last change — not from the moment the page was
rebuilt.
