  • When Does Bandai’s Naruto Card Game Come Out? The 2027 Window

    Quick answer

CardSpicy indexes cards, so the useful form of this question is not “when is the hype” but “when does product exist”. Bandai announced the Naruto Card Game in June 2026 and has since confirmed a simultaneous worldwide launch in Summer 2027. No exact date, price or product line-up has been announced. The February 2027 date that circulates online is community speculation, and we have not found an official statement or a credible primary source behind it.

One date is published. Everything earlier than it is a guess, and this page keeps the two apart.

    What is actually confirmed

Five things are on the record, and it is worth separating the ones that constrain a release from the ones that do not.

Item What is confirmed Constrains a date?
Announcement Revealed June 2026 as a new trading card game based on Masashi Kishimoto’s series No
Launch window Simultaneous worldwide release, Summer 2027, restated in the July 2026 update Yes — it is the only published window
    Exact date Not announced —
World debut Gen Con 2026, with a hands-on demonstration tour continuing through the autumn No — a public demo is not a schedule
Gameplay A 51-card deck built around a Leader, using Leader, Character, EX Character, Chakra and Summon cards No

The rules are the part that is furthest along. The deck structure, the card classes and the win condition are all published, and we set them out in the rules, the cards and the Chakra. That matters here for one reason: a game with published rules and public demo decks is a game that has been designed, not a game that has been scheduled.

Where the February 2027 date comes from

It comes from the calendar rather than from a statement. Bandai has been running public demonstrations through the second half of 2026, and a busy reveal schedule invites the inference that product is close behind it. The logic runs: if the game is playable in October, a February launch would fit, and February is a common month for a first set.

That inference is reasonable and it is still an inference. Three things would have to be true for a February date to hold, and none of them is currently true: a dated announcement, a price, and a named product line-up. We cover the February claim because it is repeated widely enough that a reader will meet it, not because it is evidenced. If you are planning spend around it, the honest position is that the only published window is Summer 2027 and anything earlier is a bonus if it happens.

Why a demonstration tour is not a release date

This is the single most common confusion on this line, so it is worth being blunt about. What runs through the autumn is a tour: free tutorials at public events, a promo card handed to participants, and a playmat sold in limited daily quantities. None of those three things requires finished retail product. A demo deck is a demo deck.

The stops are real and they are dated. PAX Australia runs 9 to 11 October, SPIEL Essen and Paris Games Week both run 22 to 25 October, and Lucca Comics & Games runs 28 October to 1 November, with New York Comic Con earlier in October. Every one of them is a marketing event that happens before a launch, which is the opposite of evidence that a launch is imminent. We list the dates, the CP-001 conditions and the playmat rules in our guide to where the game can be played this autumn.

The four signals that would settle it

If you want to be told when this becomes real rather than argued about, these are the four things that would change the answer. They are listed in the order they matter.

    1. An official release date. Until there is one, nothing is scheduled and nothing can be planned around. This is the only signal that matters on its own.
    2. A suggested retail price. A price is published when a product line is priced, and a priced line is a line that is going to be manufactured.
    3. A pre-order window. Pre-orders open after allocation is agreed with distributors, which happens after a date is set.
    4. A confirmed starter deck and booster line-up. Print runs, case configurations and set names appear when there is product to describe.

Treat everything else as noise. A promotional video is not a date. A demo tour is not a date. A demo deck at an event is not a date. Each of those is consistent with Summer 2027, which is what has actually been announced.

    How to plan around it

There are two Naruto card lines arriving in 2027 and they are run by different companies, which is the source of most of the confusion around this date. Bandai’s game is the new one, launching worldwide in Summer 2027. The other line has an existing card list and a different publisher, and we separate the two in the three Naruto card products dated for 2027.

For the collectible side, the more useful preparation is not a date watch but a card watch. The cards Bandai has actually shown are catalogued, with their numbers and printed values, in every card Bandai has shown and in the card types and numbered cards. Those are facts, and they do not change when a date moves.

    Frequently asked questions

When does the Naruto Card Game come out?

A simultaneous worldwide release in Summer 2027 is confirmed. No exact date has been announced. The February 2027 date that circulates online has no official statement or credible primary source behind it, and we treat it as speculation.

Is the Naruto Card Game coming out in February 2027?

No official source supports that. Bandai’s own wording, restated in July 2026, remains Summer 2027. The February claim rests on the reasoning that a busy demonstration calendar implies an early launch, which is an inference rather than an announcement.

Does the autumn 2026 tour announce a release date?

No. The tour is a series of public tutorials with a promo card and a limited playmat. None of those requires finished retail product, and every stop is a marketing event running ahead of a launch rather than evidence of one.

What would confirm an earlier release?

Four things, and any one of them would be news: an official release date, a suggested retail price, an open pre-order window, or a confirmed starter deck and booster line-up. Until one appears, the published window stands.

Is this the same as the other Naruto card line?

No. Bandai’s Naruto Card Game is a new game launching in Summer 2027. The other Naruto card line has a different publisher and an existing card list, and the two are compared in our guide to the Naruto card products dated for 2027.

  • Naruto Card Game Autumn 2026: Every Stop, and How to Get CP-001

    Quick answer

CardSpicy indexes cards, so this page does the one thing a card collector needs from an event calendar: it sets out where the Naruto Card Game can actually be played in person, and what you have to do to walk away with the promo. Between 9 October and 1 November 2026 the game appears at five public events across three continents, all of them free to play at, and all of them gated behind a convention ticket rather than a card purchase. One promo card, CP-001, is the reason most people are going.

The tour is a demonstration tour. It is not a release date, and nothing at these events prices a card.

New York Comic Con, 8 to 11 October

The card game shares a stage with the rest of the franchise at New York Comic Con. The panel is billed as NARUTO: What’s Next? and runs on Saturday 10 October, 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. EDT, on the Empire Stage at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. The date is not a coincidence: 10 October is Naruto Uzumaki’s birthday in canon.

Three things about the panel matter to a card collector rather than to a viewer.

    • It is streamed worldwide and free to watch. The NARUTO / BORUTO official YouTube channel carries the full hour, so no badge is required to see what is announced. In Japan the stream runs 6:00 to 7:00 a.m. JST on Sunday 11 October.
    • The card game is on the bill. The published panel description covers updates on the anime, the NARUTO CARD GAME and other projects, and the promotional video for the game is expected here rather than at a dedicated card event.
    • It is the franchise’s own stage, not Bandai’s. That distinction is worth holding on to, because it sets expectations: a franchise panel announces a franchise, and card product announcements have historically come separately.

The guests are Junko Takeuchi, who has voiced Naruto Uzumaki since 2002, Noriaki Sugiyama, the voice of Sasuke Uchiha, and Yoshihiro Tominaga of PIERROT FILMS. There is also a separate signing session earlier the same day, 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., which requires a pre-show ticket rather than a walk-up. Our page on what the new Naruto anime is, and what it is not covers the announcement itself; this page stays on the game.

PAX Australia, 9 to 11 October

PAX Australia is the first stop on the calendar and the one with the most published detail. It runs 9 to 11 October at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, and tutorial registration opened through BANDAI TCG+ at 11:00 a.m. AEST on 20 September on a first-come, first-served basis.

Four rules decide whether you can actually sit down at a table.

    • A BANDAI TCG+ account is required to register.
    • Each player may register for a maximum of one tutorial at the event.
    • Convention admission is still required on top of the free session.
    • The demo deck is provided during the session and cannot be taken home.

The playmat works differently here from anywhere else on the tour: participants enter a daily raffle for the opportunity to buy one, and winning the raffle does not make it free. The purchase window closes at booth close on the same day.

    The three European stops

Europe gets three consecutive events, and Bandai has published the same shape for all of them: free tutorials, CP-001 to eligible participants, and the playmat in limited daily quantities.

    Event Dates Venue
SPIEL Essen 22–25 October 2026 Messe Essen, Germany
Paris Games Week 22–25 October 2026 Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, France
Lucca Comics & Games 28 October – 1 November 2026 Piazza Santa Maria, Lucca, Italy

The first two run on the same four days, which is a deliberate split rather than a mistake: Germany and France are served in parallel, and Italy picks up the week after. Registration is planned on site on the day at each convention, not in advance, and each player may join one tutorial per convention.

There is one small inconsistency worth knowing. SPIEL Essen and Paris Games Week both list a free logo sticker for following an official social account or registering for the NARUTO TCG Updates Channel. The Lucca event page does not currently list that giveaway, so treat the sticker as a two-stop item rather than a tour-wide one.

How the CP-001 card is actually handed out

CP-001 is a Chakra card, and the tour is the only announced route to one outside Japan’s own events. The published conditions are the same at every stop, and all four have to be met.

    1. Hold valid admission to the host event. The tutorial is free; the convention ticket is not part of that.
    2. Register for a Naruto Card Game tutorial on site, subject to capacity on the day.
    3. Join the NARUTO TCG Updates Channel in the BANDAI TCG+ app. This is the step most often missed, because it is not part of signing up for the session.
    4. Complete the survey after the tutorial.

Bandai lists one participation prize per person. A detail that has been checked rather than assumed: all three European event pages describe the giveaway simply as CP-001 Chakra Card, and none announces a new city-stamped variant. That matches what we recorded when we catalogued the card types and the numbered cards shown so far, where CP-001 appears in three printings and no more.

The playmat, and why it is not free

The Naruto and Sasuke playmat is listed at an MSRP of $35 plus tax. Three restrictions apply at every stop: stock is limited each day, purchases are capped at one per person, and at PAX Australia you additionally have to win a raffle before you are allowed to buy.

One caveat that gets lost in the coverage. Bandai says the playmat is arriving in 2027, so the event listing should not be read as confirmation of a final retail launch date or a final price. If you want the mat, the event is currently the only way to get one; if you want to know when it goes on general sale, that has not been announced.

What this tour does not tell you

It does not give a release date. The game is confirmed for a simultaneous worldwide launch in Summer 2027, and a demonstration tour is not a schedule. A busy reveal calendar invites guesses about when product will follow, and we treat those guesses as guesses. The separate question of whether the game could arrive earlier is set out, with the evidence that does and does not exist, in our page on the three Naruto card products dated for 2027.

It also does not price anything. No platform publishes per-card values for this line, so there is no index that could move, and we quote no values. What the events do provide is the first chance most players get to play the game as designed, which is a rules question rather than a value one.

    Frequently asked questions

Where can I play the Naruto Card Game in 2026?

At five public events between 9 October and 1 November 2026: PAX Australia in Melbourne (9–11 October), New York Comic Con (8–11 October, with the card game covered at the 10 October panel), SPIEL Essen and Paris Games Week (both 22–25 October) and Lucca Comics & Games (28 October – 1 November). Tutorials are free at all of them, and convention admission is required.

How do I get the CP-001 Chakra Card?

Four steps, all required: hold valid admission to the host event, register for a tutorial on site subject to capacity, join the NARUTO TCG Updates Channel in the BANDAI TCG+ app, and complete the post-tutorial survey. Bandai lists one participation prize per person, and the published European pages do not announce a city-stamped variant.

Is the official playmat free at these events?

No. The Naruto and Sasuke playmat is listed at $35 plus tax, is limited to one per person, and stock is limited each day. At PAX Australia you also have to win a daily raffle for the opportunity to buy one, and the purchase window closes at booth close that day. Bandai says the playmat itself arrives in 2027.

Do I need a convention ticket to attend a tutorial?

Yes. The tutorial session costs nothing, but admission to the host convention is separate and required. At PAX Australia registration also runs through BANDAI TCG+ on a first-come, first-served basis and opened on 20 September, so seats may already be accounted for by the time the event starts.

Does the tour announce a release date for the game?

No. The game is confirmed for a simultaneous worldwide launch in Summer 2027, and nothing at these events has changed that. Registration, promo distribution and a playmat sale are all consistent with a demonstration tour running months ahead of a launch, which is exactly what Bandai describes it as.

What has been recorded for Leaf

Kawaki is filed under Leaf in our index, alongside 33 other characters. The gallery has recorded 25 of those 34 characters, and this page is the one for Kawaki: the others with records are Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, Kakashi Hatake. How these counts are made

The counts on this page are read out of the manufacturer’s own card gallery rather than estimated. A “record” is one entry in that gallery: where the same card is held in more than one edition, each edition is its own record, which is why the record count reads higher than a count of distinct cards would. Rarity codes are shown exactly as the gallery prints them, and where the gallery prints a code without explaining it, the code is shown rather than a name invented for it. Prices are not quoted: there is no tracked market for these cards that we can quote from. See the full Naruto card list for the same data taken across every character at once.

    Frequently asked questions

    Does Kawaki have any cards?

Not in the line that has opened its records. The manufacturer’s gallery holds 638 records across two sets, and none of them is Kawaki. The KAYOU line, which is the one most people mean by “Naruto cards”, has never published a card list we can check against.

Why is Kawaki not in the gallery?

Because the two recorded sets cover a fixed slice of the story. Set 1 draws on the earliest part of it and Set 2 on the Chunin Exams and the retrieval arc, and the characters recorded so far are the ones those two slices reach. Set 3 is dated for release on November 13, 2026 and is the next chance for the line to move past them.

    Will Kawaki get cards?

That depends on how far the line goes. Kawaki has not been printed in either recorded set, and nothing has been announced for the character specifically. This page will be updated if that changes.

Is Kawaki in Bandai’s Naruto Card Game?

No card of Kawaki has been shown for it so far. The game releases in 2027 and Bandai has shown only a handful of cards.

Does this page quote Kawaki card prices?

No. There is no tracked market for these cards that we can quote from, so this page lists what is printed on the cards and quotes no values.

Prices are not quoted: there is no tracked market for these cards that we can quote from. See the full Naruto card list for the same data taken across every character at once.

    Frequently asked questions

Does Sarada Uchiha have any cards?

Not in the line that has opened its records. The manufacturer’s gallery holds 638 records across two sets, and none of them is Sarada Uchiha. The KAYOU line, which is the one most people mean by “Naruto cards”, has never published a card list we can check against.

Why is Sarada Uchiha not in the gallery?

Because the two recorded sets cover a fixed slice of the story. Set 1 draws on the earliest part of it and Set 2 on the Chunin Exams and the retrieval arc, and the characters recorded so far are the ones those two slices reach. Set 3 is dated for release on November 13, 2026 and is the next chance for the line to move past them.

    Will Sarada Uchiha get cards?

That depends on how far the line goes. Sarada Uchiha has not been printed in either recorded set, and nothing has been announced for the character specifically. This page will be updated if that changes.

Is Sarada Uchiha in Bandai’s Naruto Card Game?

No card of Sarada Uchiha has been shown for it so far. The game releases in 2027 and Bandai has shown only a handful of cards.

Does this page quote Sarada Uchiha card prices?

No. There is no tracked market for these cards that we can quote from, so this page lists what is printed on the cards and quotes no values.

  • Every Boruto Uzumaki Card in the Naruto Card Line

    Quick answer

The official Naruto Mythos card gallery holds no record of Boruto Uzumaki at all. CardSpicy indexes the Naruto line card by card, and this page sets out what that means: which products have been recorded so far, what the gallery holds for the rest of Leaf, and where Boruto Uzumaki would appear if the line reaches them.

Naruto’s son and the lead of the next generation.

It is not a total blank, though: Boruto Uzumaki has been shown in Bandai’s Naruto Card Game, which is a separate line with its own numbering. That is set out below.

How many Boruto Uzumaki cards are there?

None. The manufacturer’s gallery holds 638 records in total, and no record under this name is among them. That is a statement about what has been recorded, not about the character.

Boruto Uzumaki in the Naruto Card Game

Bandai’s Naruto Card Game, the 2027 game, has shown a different set of cards from the Mythos line. For Boruto Uzumaki, the revealed cards are:

    • N-REV-2 — Reveal. One of the twelve artwork reveals. Its copyright line is the only one on a revealed card that adds a later series.

Those are reveals and display cards, not a card list: the game does not release until 2027 and Bandai has published no numbering for it. See every Naruto Card Game card that has been shown for the full set.

What has been recorded for Leaf

Boruto Uzumaki is filed under Leaf in our index, alongside 33 other characters. The gallery has recorded 25 of those 34 characters, and this page is the one for Boruto Uzumaki: the others with records are Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, Kakashi Hatake. • Every Shukaku Card in the Naruto Card Line

    Quick answer

The official Naruto Mythos card gallery lists 7 records of Shukaku, sitting on 3 card numbers and printed in 3 rarity codes across 2 sets. CardSpicy indexes the Naruto line card by card, and the table below is the whole list for this character.

The One-Tail, sealed inside Gaara, and the count below is everything the manufacturer’s own gallery holds for Shukaku — including the printings that share a card number and differ only in rarity or version name.

How many Shukaku cards are there?

The One-Tail, sealed inside Gaara. The gallery holds 7 records under the name Shukaku. Those 7 records resolve to 4 card-number-and-version pairings across 3 card numbers, because the same number is reused for printings at different rarities. The earliest printing is dated 2026-03-13 and the most recent 2026-09-04.

Rarity code Records Where it appears
    UC 3 Set 1 and Set 2.
    R 2 Set 1.
    RA 2 Set 1.

Across the two recorded sets that is 6 in Set 1 (Konoha Shidō) and 1 in Set 2 (Shinobi Shiren). By edition the split is 4 first-edition records and 3 second-edition records.

    Every Shukaku card, listed

Every Shukaku record the gallery holds, in card-number order. “Card number” is the number printed on the card itself; a card number can carry more than one printing at more than one rarity, which is why some numbers appear several times. Chakra is the cost in the top-left of the card and power is the printed value. Effect text is quoted as printed.

Card number Version Rarity Edition Chakra Power Effect
076/130 Partial transformation UC 1stnd & 2ndnd 6 9 MAIN ⧗ You can play this character as an upgrade over Gaara. MAIN ⧗ Can’t be hidden or defeated by enemy effects.
130/130 I hope you’re ready to die! R 1stnd & 2ndnd 7 10 MAIN ⧗ Can’t be hidden or defeated by enemy effects. · UPGRADE ↯ Choose a mission and defeat all hidden enemy characters assigned to it.
130/130 I hope you’re ready to die! RA 1stnd & 2ndnd 7 10 MAIN ⧗ Can’t be hidden or defeated by enemy effects. · UPGRADE ↯ Choose a mission and defeat all hidden enemy characters assigned to it.
047/140 The perfect possession UC 1stnd 7 7 MAIN ⧗ You can play this character as an upgrade over Gaara. · UPGRADE ↯ Defeat an enemy character with Power 3 or less.

    Shukaku — the strongest cards

The highest power printed on any Shukaku card is 10. The top of the range looks like this:

Card number Version Rarity Chakra Power
    130/130 I hope you’re ready to die! R 7 10
    130/130 I hope you’re ready to die! RA 7 10
    130/130 I hope you’re ready to die! R 7 10
    130/130 I hope you’re ready to die! RA 7 10
    076/130 Partial transformation UC 6 9

Power is not the same as usefulness. A card’s chakra cost is what it takes to play it, and the effect line is what it does once it is in play; a high-power card that costs more chakra than the deck can produce is not the strongest card in the set.

What Shukaku’s cards have in common

Every Shukaku record in the gallery is filed under Independent (4) / Sand Village (3), so the group line does not vary between cards. The keyword lines do vary, and they show what the card is expected to be used with:

    Keyword Records
    Tailed beast 7
    Jutsu 4

Every card of this character in the gallery is a Character card — the line has not printed this character as any other card type.

What has been recorded for Beast

Shukaku is filed under Beast in our index, alongside 2 other characters. The gallery has recorded 2 of those 3 characters, and this page is the one for Shukaku: the others with records are Kurama. The full list for the group is below, so you can see at a glance what exists and what does not.
