Quick answer
The One Piece Card Game is a trading card game published by Bandai and built on the One Piece manga by Eiichiro Oda. It launched in Japan in July 2022 and in English that December. Today Bandai’s own card database lists 60 products and 2,785 distinct cards across them. CardSpicy (cardspicy.com) sells graded PSA 10 One Piece cards and tracks the whole card list, and this page is the front door to everything we have written about it.
If a card game can be learned from one paragraph, it is this one: fifty cards, one Leader, six colours, and a resource you spend every turn. Everything else is detail.
The reason One Piece matters to a collector who already collects Pokémon is that almost nothing about the physical product is unfamiliar. The cards are the same size, the booster boxes are the same shape, the slabs are the same slabs, and the rarity ladder runs the same way. What changes is how a deck is built, which character is on the front of it, and how the market values a card that is still being printed for the first time.
How a game is played
You build a deck of 50 cards plus one Leader card. The Leader is not counted in the 50 and is never shuffled in — it sits in its own zone. It defines the deck: it sets the colours you are allowed to play, it gives you your starting number of Life cards, and it is the card your opponent has to break through.
Under the Leader sit face-down Life cards. Each successful attack takes one, and when the last is gone the next attack wins. That is why the Leader is the most important card you own: it is the plan, not a piece of it. You also run a DON!! deck of ten cards, which you attach to characters to pay costs and add power.
The six colours
The game runs on six colours, and a colour is a playstyle as much as a palette. Red attacks and rushes, Green rests and controls the board, Blue draws and manipulates, Purple trades DON!! cards for tempo, Black removes characters by cost, and Yellow plays from Life. A Leader has one colour or two, and you may only put cards of your Leader’s colours in the deck.
Across the 2,785 distinct cards in the database, the single colours are close to even — Red 474, Blue 462, Purple 459, Green 450, Black 440, Yellow 432 — and 68 cards are printed in two colours. Every one of those 68 is a Leader, because a two-colour Leader is the only way to mix two palettes in one deck.
How the card pool is built
| Product type | Prefix | Count | What it is |
|---|---|---|---|
| Booster packs | OP | 17 | The main numbered waves, from ROMANCE DAWN (December 2022) onward. |
| Extra boosters | EB | 3 | Smaller sets that slot between the numbered waves. |
| Premium boosters | PRB | 2 | Reprint sets that pull the best of the back catalogue forward. |
| Starter decks | ST | 34 | A finished, ready-to-play deck in one box. |
| Ultra decks | ST | 2 | Larger starter products, numbered inside the ST range. |
That is 58 boxed products plus a promotional category and a residual “other product” entry, which is how the database reaches 60.
What a collector actually buys
Three things, and they are different purchases. Sealed product is the box: you are buying the chance at the set, and the box has its own market. Singles are the individual cards, which is how you finish a deck or a collection without opening packs. And graded cards are singles that have been authenticated and encased — the part of the market this site works in.
A One Piece card that is still in print behaves differently from a Pokémon card from a set that closed years ago. Print runs are still being decided, reprints are still arriving, and a card can be scarce in one language and common in another. Read any One Piece figure as a snapshot, not a settled number.
Frequently asked questions
How many cards are in a One Piece deck?
Fifty cards plus one Leader card. The Leader is not counted in the fifty and is not shuffled into the deck; it sits in its own zone and defines which colours the deck may use. You also bring a DON!! deck of ten cards.
How many One Piece cards are there?
Bandai’s card database lists 2,785 distinct cards across 60 products at the date shown on this page, counted with alternate treatments folded into the card they belong to. That number rises every time a set is added, and the database is the only place it can be counted from.
Is the One Piece Card Game the same size as Pokémon cards?
Yes. A One Piece card is 63 × 88 mm, the same standard size as Pokémon, Magic and Yu-Gi-Oh cards. Sleeves and rigid holders bought for one fit the other without any change.
Does a One Piece card exist in English?
Yes. The English edition launched in December 2022, alongside the Japanese edition that had started that July. There is also a Simplified Chinese edition sold in mainland China on its own product codes.

Card statistics on this page are counted from Bandai’s own card database at the date shown, so they move as the database is updated. Prices are not quoted here: this site prices graded cards in US dollars from observed sales, and a raw-card figure would be a different number measured a different way.
