Every GUNDAM CARD GAME set code explained

Set codes and checklists

A GUNDAM CARD GAME card number starts with the code of the product it was printed in: GD01-001 is card 1 of the first booster pack. That makes the codes worth knowing, because they are the index to the whole game. This page lists every one.

Quick answer

A GUNDAM CARD GAME card number begins with the code of the product it was printed in, so GD01-001 is card 1 of the first booster pack. There are three code families — GD for the five main booster packs, EB for the sixth booster pack and ST for the fourteen starter decks — plus SC for the special product.

The three code families

Prefix Means Products Cards
GD Main booster pack 5 714
EB Booster pack 1 91
ST Starter deck 14 232
SC Special product 1 3

Cards without a product code

Not every card number follows that shape. The resources and tokens that come with the game are numbered separately — R for a resource, T for a token, RP for a promotional resource — and the higher-tier base and resource cards use EXB, EXR, EXBP and EXRP. Those cards belong to the game rather than to one product, so they carry no product code.

Why the codes matter here

Because the code identifies the product, a checklist page can be built for every product directly from its members. That is how this section is organised: 23 products have a checklist page, covering all 1,148 base cards in the game, with nothing left over and nothing counted twice.

The card number guide breaks a number down field by field.

Frequently asked questions

What do the letters and numbers on a Gundam card number mean?

The letters are the product code — GD and EB for the booster packs, ST for the starter decks, SC for a special product — and the digits after the dash are the card’s position in that product.

How many GUNDAM CARD GAME products are there?

25 as we index them: 6 booster packs, 14 starter decks, and 5 special, promotional and other products.

Which products have a full checklist here?

23 of the 25. The ones without are the products that print no new base card numbers, so there is nothing to list.

Is a card from a starter deck numbered differently?

It carries the deck’s code instead of a pack code, so a card numbered ST01-001 is the first card of Heroic Beginnings. Everything else about the number works the same way.
