CardSpicy builds card protection products and runs this collector’s index. We cover Pokémon, One Piece, Gundam, Dragon Ball, Naruto, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Digimon and Riftbound, plus our newer sections on Magic: The Gathering, Disney Lorcana, Star Wars: Unlimited, Flesh and Blood and UNION ARENA — every card game we index in full, with the sleeves and rigid holders that fit them. We sell PSA 10 only, because that is the grade the market actually trades.
CardSpicy covers card games together with their language editions, and Disney Lorcana is one of the two largest trading card games that does not come out of Japan. This page is the index for everything CardSpicy publishes about it: the eight rarities and what each symbol looks like on the card, the six inks and the four card types the game is built from, and how the game is distributed into mainland China.
Two things are worth knowing before the rest of the page. Lorcana is published by Ravensburger rather than by a card-game specialist, and it is built on licensed Disney and Pixar characters rather than on a setting of its own. Both shape how the game releases and how it is collected.

Rarities
Lorcana prints at eight rarity levels, which is more than most card games. Five are the core structure a set is designed around, and three are premium treatments that sit above them. Each level has its own symbol at the bottom of the card.
- Disney Lorcana rarities explained — all eight levels, the symbol each one uses, and how the three premium levels differ from the five core ones.
Inks and card types
The playable game is built from six inks and four card types. A deck uses at most two inks, which is the constraint that decides almost everything else about how a deck is put together.
- Disney Lorcana inks and card types — the six inks, the four card types, and what a legal deck actually requires.
Mainland China
How the game reaches mainland China changed at the start of 2026, and the change is a distribution decision rather than a card-design one. It is worth reading separately because it affects which language a player there is buying.
- Disney Lorcana in mainland China — the distributor appointed for the market, the English edition introduced from 1 January 2026, and what it means for a deck’s languages.
Sets and releases
Lorcana releases in numbered sets, each with its own prerelease week in game stores before the wider on-sale date.
- Disney Lorcana Hyperia City: The Dates, Ink Drops and What Comes After — the October 2026 set, the ink drops mechanic, and where the 2027 sets go next.
Where this section sits
Disney Lorcana is one of the card games given their own material on CardSpicy. The games that have a guide but no section of their own are collected on Other card games. Every page the site publishes, grouped by game and then by topic, is on All articles, and the sleeves, holders and storage that go around any of these cards start at Card accessories.
Frequently asked questions
Who publishes Disney Lorcana?
Ravensburger. It is the publisher of the game and the company that sets the release schedule, the rarities and the product line.
How many rarities does Lorcana have?
Eight. Five are core levels that a set is designed around, and three are premium treatments printed above them.
What is a Lorcana deck built from?
From six inks and four card types. A deck may use at most two inks, holds at least 60 cards, and needs a way of tracking lore.
Is there a Simplified Chinese edition of Lorcana?
The distribution of the game into mainland China changed at the start of 2026, when Ravensburger’s appointed distributor for the market introduced the English edition from 1 January 2026. The guide linked above sets out what was announced and what it changes.
Does CardSpicy index Lorcana card by card?
It indexes the game rather than a card list. CardSpicy publishes guides to the rarities, the inks, the card types and the market the game is sold into; it does not run a page-per-card database for Lorcana.
