Products
Not every GUNDAM CARD GAME card comes from a pack you can buy in a shop. A large group is printed for events, giveaways and other special products, and this page sets out how big that group is and where its cards come from.
Quick answer
111 GUNDAM CARD GAME cards, about 10% of the 1,148 in the game, come from promotional and event products rather than a booster pack. The biggest single source is the promotional card group at 68 cards, followed by the other product group at 40.
The promotional group, counted
| Product | Code | Base cards | Kind |
|---|---|---|---|
| Other Product Card | Other Product Card | 40 | Promotional or event |
| Promotion card | Promotion card | 68 | Promotional or event |
| Deck Build Box Freedom Ascension | SC01 | 3 | Special product |
| Total base cards | 111 |
How many cards that is
Those products hold 111 base cards, or 10% of the 1,148 cards in the game. The single biggest source is the promotional card group at 68 cards, followed by the other product group at 40.
Promotional cards are a label, not a tier
111 cards in the game carry the P label. It is a different label rather than a higher one: a promotional card is not automatically scarcer than a pack card, it is simply printed somewhere other than in a booster pack. The rarity by product page shows where every label is printed.
Events and giveaways
The promotional group is really a list of occasions. Its card entries name events, giveaways, tournaments and shop tie-ins, and some are dated to a particular run. Because they are not sold in packs, they are also the part of the game most likely to be revised by the publisher, which is why we date every page here.
Two products with no base cards
A couple of the promotional products print no new base cards at all: they are made up of parallel prints, which reuse a card number with a suffix rather than introducing a new one. We list those products so the game is complete, and we say plainly that they add nothing to the base count instead of padding the number.
The parallel prints page counts that group in full.
Frequently asked questions
How many promotional GUNDAM CARD GAME cards are there?
The promotional and special products hold 111 base cards, or 10% of the game. 111 of them carry the P label.
Are promotional cards rarer than pack cards?
Not by the label. P is a separate label rather than a higher tier within the ordinary ladder, and a promotional card is simply one printed outside the booster packs.
How do you get promotional Gundam cards?
They come from events, giveaways, tournaments and shop tie-ins rather than from sealed product. The card entries name the occasion each one belongs to.
Why are some products shown with no cards?
Because they print no new base card numbers. They are made up of parallel prints that reuse an existing number, so they add nothing to the base count and we say so rather than inventing one.
