Why there is no CardSpicy price guide for Gundam cards

Collecting and care

CardSpicy publishes prices for Pokémon cards, and we are often asked why we do not publish them for Gundam. The answer is short and it is the same answer for every figure on this section: we do not have a source we can stand behind. This page explains what that means in practice, and what we do publish instead.

Quick answer

CardSpicy publishes no price for GUNDAM CARD GAME cards, because there is no sales source we can stand behind for this game. What we publish instead is identification and set data counted from the publisher’s own card database: 1,148 base cards with every printed field, 25 products with full checklists, 595 mobile suits and pilots, and 28 Gundam works named as source series.

What we publish instead

Identification and set data, counted from the publisher’s own card database. That means:

  • 1,148 base cards, each with its printed number, name, rarity, level, cost, colour, type, AP, HP, zone, traits, link, source series and effect text.
  • 25 products, each with a full checklist and a card-by-card section.
  • 595 mobile suits and pilots, each with its card count and colour.
  • 28 Gundam works named as source series, with the card count for each.

Why no price

A price is only as good as the sales behind it. For Pokémon we can point at a recorded market and stand behind the number. For Gundam we cannot: the market is young, thin and concentrated in a small number of listings, and a number built on that would be a guess dressed as data. We would rather say so than publish a figure that does not survive contact with a real transaction.

What that means if you are valuing a collection

You need a sales source, not an index. The card number on this site is what makes that possible: it identifies the exact card, including whether you are holding a base card or one of the parallel prints, which is the detail a valuation needs and the one most easily missed. Start from the card number guide, identify the card precisely, and then go to a source that records sales.

What we do sell

PSA 10 graded Pokémon cards, and the sleeves and rigid holders that fit every standard-size card, Gundam included. Gundam cards are not part of our stock, so nothing on this page is an offer to sell, and no figure here is a valuation.

Frequently asked questions

Why does CardSpicy not publish Gundam card prices?

Because we cannot source them. We publish prices where we can point at recorded sales and stand behind the number. For the GUNDAM CARD GAME there is no such source we can rely on, so we publish the card data and say plainly that we do not have a price.

What can I use instead to identify a Gundam card?

The card number. Every card in the game carries one, and the card number guide explains how to read it. That tells you exactly which card you have, including whether it is a base card or a parallel print.

Does CardSpicy sell GUNDAM CARD GAME cards?

No. We sell PSA 10 graded Pokémon cards and standard-size card protection. Gundam cards are not part of our stock, which is one more reason we are not the right source for their value.

Is there a Gundam price guide anywhere?

We cannot vouch for one, and we do not link to sources we have not checked. What we can offer is the identification half: every card in the game, counted, numbered and quoted from the publisher’s own database.
