CS Ingot 35 — a rigid case for raw, ungraded cards
CS Ingot 35 is a press-fit rigid case for standard trading cards. It is built to take your card inside its penny sleeve — not just a bare card — so the sleeve stays on and the card never touches the case directly. The two halves seat together and stay shut: no magnet, no hinge, no latch to work loose.
- Case size: 104.7 x 80 x 5.5 mm (outer)
- Card cavity: 67 x 92 mm
- Fits: a sleeved card up to 66 x 91 mm, or a bare card up to 63 x 88 mm
- Closure: press-fit — the two halves seat together and hold
- Card thickness: 35 PT (1 PT = 0.0254 mm, so 35 PT = 0.89 mm)
- Clarity: one-piece cast material — crystal clear and slow to yellow
- Material: rigid, acid-free, PVC-free clear acrylic
- Storage: ultra-flat edges — cases stack upright without wobbling
Sleeve in. Card safe.
Most rigid holders ask you to take the card out of its sleeve first. CS Ingot 35 does the opposite — the cavity is sized for a sleeved card, so you keep the soft inner layer against the card face and add rigidity outside it. That is the order that actually protects a card: the sleeve absorbs contact, the hard case absorbs the bend. Pair it with our penny sleeves as the inner layer.
Skip the grading. Keep the showcase.
Grading means a queue, a fee and your card out of your hands. A rigid case gives you the display result today: both faces clearly visible, the card still yours, and free to swap whenever you like. The case is acid-free and PVC-free, so nothing in it reacts with the card, and the cast body resists yellowing — a card can sit on a desk or in a case for years and come out the way it went in.
Not a grading service
CS Ingot 35 is a protective card case, not a graded slab, and it carries no grade. CardSpicy is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by PSA, BGS or CGC, and no grading company logo appears on this product.
Looking for a thinner open-top holder instead? See our 3″ x 4″ rigid card holders, which come in eight thicknesses from 35 PT to 360 PT.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I put my card in this case while it is still in a sleeve?
- Yes — that is exactly what it is sized for. The cavity is 67 x 92 mm and takes a sleeved card up to 66 x 91 mm, or a bare card up to 63 x 88 mm. Keeping the sleeve on is the point: the sleeve absorbs contact and the hard case absorbs the bend.
- What does 35 PT mean on this case?
- 35 PT is the card thickness the case is built for — 0.89 mm, since 1 PT is 0.0254 mm. The case itself is 104.7 x 80 x 5.5 mm on the outside.
- How is this different from the Pro-Grade Display Slab?
- The Display Slab holds a bare card and has a blank label window above it. Ingot 35 holds a card that is still inside its sleeve and has no label window. Both close by press-fit, and neither is a graded slab.
- Does the acrylic go yellow over time?
- The body is one-piece cast acrylic, which yellows far more slowly than a folded or glued case, so a card can sit in it for years and come out the way it went in. The material is acid-free and PVC-free.
