FB11 Brightness of Hope: What Is Confirmed Before Release

Quick answer

CardSpicy takes a set’s contents from what Bandai has actually published rather than from a marketplace listing, and FB11 Brightness of Hope is the eleventh booster in Fusion World and the first since FB10 to get a full reveal.

FB11 Brightness of Hope is the eleventh booster in DRAGON BALL SUPER CARD GAME Fusion World, the newer of Bandai’s two Dragon Ball card games. It is the first set since FB10 to be given a full reveal, and it is the set that decides what the Fusion World market looks like going into 2027. This page collects what the publisher has actually confirmed — and separates it from what is still inference.

What FB11 is

Fusion World numbers its main boosters from FB01, which was Awakened Pulse in February 2024. FB11 is the eleventh of those, and its cards carry the FB11 prefix, the same one used across the whole main line. If you are new to the codes, how to read a Dragon Ball card number covers the prefix system, and the two-game comparison explains why an FB code never appears on a Masters card.

The two release dates

This is the part people get wrong, because Fusion World is released twice. The Japanese-language version of FB11 went on sale in Japan on 12 September 2026. The English-language version follows on 16 October 2026. That gap is normal for the game and it matters twice over: prices for the newest cards are set in the earlier market first, and the seal on an English box tells you nothing about the Japanese one. When a listing quotes a card and does not say which language it is, treat the number as provisional.

What the set is built around

Two things are worth knowing before the English release, and both come from Bandai’s own reveal.

The top slot is a treatment, not a letter. FB11 prints three Secret Rare cards — Son Goku, Shallet and Bardock — and all three have Super Alt-Art versions. In Fusion World the ladder stops at Secret Rare, so the scarcest print in any set is an alternate-art version of one of its Secret Rares. That is the card the set’s price table will be built around. The chase tiers set out why this is different from Masters, where the ceiling is a God Rare.

Every Leader has an alternate art. All five Leader cards in the set have alternate-art versions. Leaders are the most visible card in a deck — they sit outside it, are available from turn one, and decide what the rest of the deck is allowed to contain — so a Leader with a scarce alternate art carries demand from players and collectors at the same time.

Where FB11 sits in the line

Fusion World’s booster line is short compared with Masters. It began in February 2024 with Awakened Pulse and has reached FB11 in under three years, which is roughly four main boosters a year. For context, the older Masters game has been shipping since July 2017 and is more than thirty main boosters deep. The two do not interact: no card from one is legal in the other, and the same character can be expensive in one game and ordinary in the other. The full set list maps both calendars side by side.

What to check before you buy

Three things, and none of them requires a subscription to a rumour feed.

Check the language on the listing. With two release dates a month apart, an early listing is more likely to be a Japanese card than an English one. The card number is the same in both, so the code will not tell you.

Check the treatment, not just the rarity. A Secret Rare and a Super Alt-Art Secret Rare share a name and a number and differ only in printing. If you are comparing two listings and one is many times the other, that is usually the whole explanation.

Check what is not confirmed yet. A reveal season covers the chase cards and the Leaders first, because those are what sell pre-orders. Bulk counts, print runs and any reprint decision come later, and they are the numbers that move long-term value. Until they are published, anything about supply is a guess.

Frequently asked questions

When does FB11 release?

The Japanese version released on 12 September 2026 and the English version on 16 October 2026. Both dates are the publisher’s own.

How many cards are in FB11?

123 card types. The set carries 5 Leader cards, 3 Secret Rares and a full spread of the common tiers underneath them.

What is the best card to look for in FB11?

On the publisher’s reveal, the three Secret Rares are Son Goku, Shallet and Bardock, and all three have Super Alt-Art versions. In Fusion World the alternate-art print of a Secret Rare is the scarcest treatment a set prints.

Is FB11 the same as a Story Booster?

FB11 carries an FB prefix, which is the main booster line. Fusion World also prints Manga Boosters under SB and Story Boosters under ST, and those are separate products with their own numbering.

Does FB11 contain cards for Masters?

No. Fusion World and Masters are separate games published by the same company, and no card from one is legal in the other.
