Quick answer
Ardent Obsidian was released on 12 September 2025 under CSV5, in the Scarlet & Violet era of the Simplified Chinese line. This page is the checklist we hold for the set.
We currently track 24 cards in this set, covering 15 characters. The deepest single group is Charizard at 4 tracked printings. The table below lists them by the number printed on the card.
Charizard is the centre of the set: four tracked cards carry the name, with Charmander and Charmeleon alongside them, so the full line is present. Garchomp, Gengar and Toxtricity make up the tier behind it.
This is the set view. If you are following one Pokemon across every set instead, the per-character table is the other way to read the same catalogue.
24 tracked cards. Where we hold a graded copy its price is linked in the table; where we do not, the row is a sourcing request — send it and we go and find the card for you.

Frequently asked questions
What is Ardent Obsidian?
It is a main set of the Simplified Chinese branch, printed under CSV5 and released on 12 September 2025. It sits in the Scarlet & Violet era of the Chinese line.
How many cards from this set do you track?
The figure at the top of this page is current as of 4 October 2026 and is drawn from our own catalogue. It covers every card from the set we have handled or priced, and it grows as we work through more of it.
Which characters lead this set?
Charizard does. Four tracked cards carry the name and both of his earlier forms are in the set as well, so a collector working the evolution line has the whole run to find in one place. Garchomp and Gengar sit behind him.
Are these the complete printed set?
No. This is the set as we hold it, not the set as printed. A main set prints more cards than we list here, and we add rows as we take on more product. Nothing is invented to fill a gap.
