The Five Nami Cards That Define the Character

Written by

in

Nami is the lowest-power character in this series and the one with the most to teach about a specific mistake: assuming a card is worth less because its number is smaller. Of her 28 Character cards, not one reaches 8,000 power. Her Leaders are Blue, Blue and Blue/Yellow. What she has instead is a deck identity, and it is entirely in three cards. Here is our top 5, in rank order.

Quick answer

The five Nami cards that define the character are her three Leaders and the two Character cards that reach her ceiling of 7,000 power. Nami has 28 Character cards and 3 Leaders across 27 products, 31 in total. All three Leaders are Blue or Blue-based, which is the tightest single-colour identity of any character we index. Her highest Character card is 7,000 power — the lowest ceiling of the seven characters in this series.

This page does not rank by price. Our asking prices live on the product pages and move with the market; what is below is what the cards themselves state.

How this list was built

  • Leader cards first, and here they are the whole answer. Three Leaders, all Blue or Blue-based. For Nami the Leader slot is not one part of the character; it is the character.
  • Leaders ranked by life, then first printing. Two print at 5 life in single-colour Blue and one at 4 in Blue/Yellow, so the single-colour cards lead.
  • Character cards ranked by power, then cost. With a ceiling of 7,000, the top of her Character list is a two-card plateau rather than a curve — both are 5 cost, 7,000 power, and one of them carries a counter.

Cards that name Nami alongside another character appear on this page and on the other character’s page. Playmats, don cards and sealed product are out of scope.

The top 5, ranked

1. OP03-040 — Blue — Leader — 5 life — OP-03

The first Nami Leader and one of only two single-colour Leaders she has. Blue is the colour of the character in every version Bandai has printed, and this is the card that established it. For a Nami collection this is the one card that has no substitute.

2. P-117 — Blue — Leader — 5 life — promo

The second single-colour Blue Leader, and a promo. Same life, same colour, same power as the card above — the difference is that this one was never in a booster box. On a character with only three Leaders, one of them being a promo is the single biggest obstacle to finishing the run.

3. OP11-041 — Blue/Yellow — Leader — 4 life — OP-11

The only two-colour Nami Leader, and the only one that trades life for a second colour: 4 instead of 5. Blue/Yellow also combines her two most-printed colours — Blue appears seven times across the run and Yellow five, and the Leader is where those two meet.

4. OP10-013 — Red — 5 cost — 7,000 power — OP-10

One of the two cards at the top of her Character curve, and the only one that carries a printed counter of 1,000. A 7,000 body with a counter is worth more in a deck than a bare 7,000, which is why this ranks above the next card despite identical headline numbers.

5. EB03-006 — Red — 5 cost — 7,000 power — EB-03

The second 7,000 at 5 cost, from an Extra Booster. It is one of only six Red Nami cards in a run of 31, and Red is a colour she has no Leader in — so this card can only be played in a deck built around someone else.

What the five show

What was counted Result
Nami Character cards 28
Nami Leader cards 3
Total, across products 31 in 27 products
Highest Character power 7,000 — the lowest ceiling in this series
Character cards at 8,000 or above 0
Leaders that are Blue or Blue-based 3 of 3
Colours across all 31 Blue 7, Green 7, Red 6, Yellow 5, Black 5, Purple 2

The zero in the fourth row is the fact that matters. Every other character in this series has at least one card at 9,000 or above — Zoro and Sanji top out at 9,000, Ace and Law at 10,000, Shanks and Luffy at 12,000. Nami tops out at 7,000 and has nothing between there and the ceiling.

That is not a flaw in the character. It is what a supporting character looks like when the game wants her to do something other than attack: her value is in drawing, searching and enabling, and those effects do not need a large power number to work. It does mean that a Nami collection cannot be organised by power the way a Shanks collection can, and that the three Leaders carry all the identity.

Where these cards were printed

Product Card Type Colour Cost / Life Power
OP-03 One Piece card OP03-040 artworkOP03-040 Leader Blue 5 life 5,000
Promo P-117 Leader Blue 5 life 5,000
OP-11 One Piece card OP11-041 artworkOP11-041 Leader Blue/Yellow 4 life 5,000
OP-10 One Piece card OP10-013 artworkOP10-013 Character Red 5 7,000
EB-03 One Piece card EB03-006 artworkEB03-006 Character Red 5 7,000

One of the five is a promo and one is from an Extra Booster, which means half the list sits outside the main-set flow. On a three-Leader character that is a meaningful hurdle: the promo Leader cannot be pulled from any product, and the two Character cards that reach her ceiling are split across a main set and an Extra Booster.

If you want one card

Take OP03-040, the first Blue Leader. It is the card that states what a Nami deck is, it is at full 5 life, and unlike P-117 it was in a main set, so it can still be found in sealed product. If you want a Character card instead, take OP10-013 — the 7,000 with the counter, the most useful single Nami card in a deck.

Frequently asked questions

How many Nami cards are there?

Bandai lists 28 Nami Character cards and 3 Leader cards, 31 in total, spread across 27 products. All three Leaders are Blue or Blue-based, which makes her the most single-colour character we index.

What is the highest power Nami card?

7,000, reached by two Character cards: OP10-013 and EB03-006. No Nami Character card reaches 8,000, which is the lowest ceiling of the seven characters in this series — Shanks and Luffy go to 12,000, Ace and Law to 10,000, Zoro and Sanji to 9,000.

Why are all three Nami Leaders Blue?

That is the colour identity Bandai has given her. Two are single-colour Blue at 5 life and one is Blue/Yellow at 4 life. It means a Nami deck has no colour decision to make at the Leader slot, which is unusual and makes her one of the simplest characters to build around.

Which Nami card is hardest to find?

P-117, the promo Leader. It is single-colour Blue at 5 life, identical in stats to OP03-040, but it was never in a booster box — it came from a promotion. On a character with only three Leaders, that is the card most likely to be missing from a complete run.
