Sanji is the fourth-most-printed character in the One Piece Card Game and he has three Leaders, one of which arrived through a route almost no other Leader has: a premium reprint set. That single detail decides how a Sanji collection is assembled, and it is the kind of thing you only learn by reading the product, not the card. Here is our top 5, in rank order.
Quick answer
The five Sanji cards that define the character are his three Leaders and the two Character cards at 9,000 power. Sanji has 30 Character cards and 3 Leaders across 27 products, 33 in total. His Leaders run Red at 5 life, Green/Blue at 4 and Blue/Purple at 4. His Character ceiling is 9,000, reached by exactly two cards, and the cheaper of the two carries a 2,000 counter — the highest printed counter value in his whole run.
This page does not rank by price. Our asking prices live on the product pages and move with the market; what is below is what the cards themselves state.
How this list was built
- Leader cards first. Three Leaders, three different colour setups — single Red, Green/Blue, Blue/Purple. Together they decide which half of the character’s card pool is reachable in each deck.
- Leaders ranked by life, then first printing. The single-colour Red Leader at 5 life leads; the two two-colour Leaders at 4 follow, ordered by the set that printed them first.
- Character cards ranked by power, then cost. Two cards sit at 9,000 and the tie-break puts the cheaper one first, because a 9,000 at 8 cost leaves more of a turn to spend elsewhere than a 9,000 at 9 cost.
Cards that name Sanji alongside another character appear on this page and on the other character’s page. Playmats, don cards and sealed product are out of scope.
The top 5, ranked
1. PRB01-001 — Red — Leader — 5 life — PRB-01
The only single-colour Sanji Leader and the only one at full 5 life, and it came out of PRB-01 — the premium reprint set rather than a main set or a starter deck. That is worth knowing for two reasons: it is the card that gives Sanji a Red deck, and its route to market is one that only a handful of Leaders have taken.
2. OP02-026 — Green/Blue — Leader — 4 life — OP-02
The first two-colour Sanji Leader, from the second main set, and the first life drop on this list. Green/Blue is the pair that reaches the Green side of his card pool, which is where four of his Character cards sit.
3. OP12-041 — Blue/Purple — Leader — 4 life — OP-12
The second two-colour Leader and the only route into Purple, which appears four times across the character. Ten main sets separate it from the Leader above — a long gap between the two halves of a three-Leader run.
4. OP16-086 — Black — 8 cost — 9,000 power — OP-16
One of two cards at the top of the character’s power curve, and the one that carries a printed counter of 2,000 — the highest counter on any Sanji card. At 8 cost it is also the cheaper of the two 9,000s, which is what puts it ahead of the card below.
5. OP06-119 — Blue — 9 cost — 9,000 power — OP-06
The other 9,000, one cost more expensive and with no counter noted. It is the highest-cost Sanji Character card in the index, and Blue is his joint most-printed colour at eight cards alongside Red.
What the five show
| What was counted | Result |
|---|---|
| Sanji Character cards | 30 |
| Sanji Leader cards | 3 |
| Total, across products | 33 in 27 products |
| Highest Character power | 9,000 — reached by two cards |
| Highest printed cost | 9 |
| Highest printed counter | 2,000, on OP16-086 |
| Colours across all 33 | Red 8, Blue 8, Yellow 7, Green 4, Purple 4, Black 4 |
Three readings. The ceiling is 9,000, the same as Zoro and well below Ace, Law, Shanks and Luffy — Sanji is a character of good cards rather than giants. The colour spread is even: six colours, two at eight and four at four to seven, which means almost any Leader choice has cards behind it. And the three Leaders cover four colours between them — Red alone, Green/Blue, Blue/Purple — so Black, Yellow and the rest of his pool are only reachable in someone else’s deck.

No starter decks and no promos on this list, which is unusual in this series — Luffy’s list is five starter-deck and promo cards out of ten, Nami’s is two out of five. Sanji’s five are all main-range product, and one of them is from a reprint set, which means the card exists in more than one product and the printing matters more than the card.
If you want one card
Take OP02-026. It is the first Sanji Leader, it opens the Green side of his pool, and it is the version the character’s early support was printed around. If you want the strongest single card instead, take OP16-086 — 8 cost, 9,000 power, 2,000 counter, the best stat line Sanji has.

Frequently asked questions
How many Sanji cards are there?
Bandai lists 30 Sanji Character cards and 3 Leader cards, 33 in total, spread across 27 products. By Bandai’s own count he is the fourth most-drawn character in the game, with only three characters ahead of him.
What is the highest power Sanji card?
9,000, reached by two cards: OP16-086 at 8 cost with a 2,000 counter, and OP06-119 at 9 cost. No Sanji card reaches 10,000, so his ceiling matches Zoro and sits below Ace, Law, Shanks and Luffy.
Why is one Sanji Leader from a premium reprint set?
PRB01-001 is the only single-colour Sanji Leader and it arrived through ONE PIECE CARD THE BEST rather than a main set or starter deck. Only a handful of Leaders have taken that route, and it is worth knowing because the same card also exists in other products, so the printing matters as much as the card.
Which colours can a Sanji deck use?
His three Leaders cover Red on its own, Green/Blue and Blue/Purple. That reaches four of the six colours. Black, where his best Character card sits, and Yellow are only playable in a deck built around a different Leader.
