Zoro is the second-most-printed character in the One Piece Card Game and he has two Leaders. Luffy, one place above him, has seventeen. That single number explains the shape of a Zoro collection: there are only two ways to build a deck around him, and everything else he has is a card that goes inside someone else’s deck. Here is our top 10, in rank order.
Quick answer
The ten Roronoa Zoro cards that define the character are his two Leaders followed by the eight Character cards with the highest printed power. Zoro has 33 Character cards and 2 Leader cards across 31 products, 35 in total. His power ceiling is 9,000 — four cards reach it — which is lower than Shanks or Luffy, and his colour centre of gravity is Green, with 13 of the 35 cards carrying that colour somewhere.
This page does not rank by price. Our asking prices live on the product pages and move with the market; what is below is what the cards themselves state.
How this list was built
- Leader cards first. A Leader sets the colours a deck may use and the life it starts with. Zoro has only two, which makes them the whole structural story of the character rather than a corner of it.
- Leaders ranked by life, then first printing. Both of Zoro’s Leaders are printed at 5 life and 5,000 power, so the tie-break is which set printed first.
- Character cards ranked by power, then cost. Power decides whether a card wins a fight unaided. At equal power, the higher cost is the bigger body, so it comes first.
Cards that name Zoro alongside another character appear on this page and on the other character’s page. Playmats, don cards and sealed product are out of scope.
The top 10, ranked
1. OP01-001 — Red — Leader — 5 life — OP-01
The first Zoro Leader, from the opening set. Red is the colour of the original starter decks and of the first two years of main sets, so this card is the version of Zoro that most players met first. It is 5 life and 5,000 power, which is the standard Leader frame; everything distinctive about it is in the text, not the numbers.
2. OP12-020 — Green — Leader — 5 life — OP-12
The second Zoro Leader and the one that moved him into Green, eleven main sets after the first. Two Leaders is a small number, and it means a Zoro collection has an unusual shape: two anchor cards, and everything else optional.
3. OP06-118 — Green — 9 cost — 9,000 power — OP-06
The highest-cost Zoro Character card in the index, and the only one at 9 cost. Nine cost for 9,000 power is the top of the character’s curve; nothing Zoro has printed goes higher on either number.
4. EB04-007 — Red — 7 cost — 9,000 power — OP15-EB04
A 7-cost 9,000 from an Extra Booster. This is the efficient end of the top tier: two cost less than OP06-118 for the same power, which is why it is the more useful card in a deck and the one a player is more likely to want a spare of.
5. OP16-035 — Green — 7 cost — 9,000 power — OP-16
The Green twin of the card above — same cost, same power, different colour and set. Having both a Red and a Green 7-cost 9,000 is what makes Zoro playable in two colours without a compromise in body size.
6. OP16-053 — Blue — 7 cost — 9,000 power — OP-16
The third 7-cost 9,000, and the only Blue card in this top group. Blue is thin across the character — two cards out of thirty-five — which makes this the rarest colour entry in a Zoro binder rather than the rarest card.
7. OP14-015 — Red — 7 cost — 8,000 power — OP14-EB04
First of the 8,000-power group. The drop from 9,000 to 8,000 is the real cliff in this list: above it Zoro wins fights on his own numbers, below it he needs help.
8. OP17-035 — Green — 7 cost — 8,000 power — OP-17
An 8,000 with a printed counter of 2,000, which is the highest counter value in the Zoro index. Counter is the number that matters when the card is in hand rather than on the board, and a 2,000 counter on an 8,000 body is the most flexible stat line the character has.
9. ST14-013 — Black — 6 cost — 8,000 power — ST-14
A 6-cost 8,000 from a starter deck. Black appears only four times across the character, and this is the only Black card in the top ten — which is the reason to note it rather than the reason to chase it.
10. ST29-014 — Yellow — 6 cost — 8,000 power — ST-29
The second 6-cost 8,000 and the only Yellow card on this page. Yellow is the third-most-common Zoro colour with six cards, all of them away from the top of the curve.
What the ten show
| What was counted | Result |
|---|---|
| Roronoa Zoro Character cards | 33 |
| Roronoa Zoro Leader cards | 2 |
| Total, across products | 35 in 31 products |
| Highest printed power | 9,000 — reached by four cards |
| Highest printed cost | 9 |
| Colours across all 35 | Green 13, Red 8, Yellow 6, Black 4, Blue 2, Purple 2 |
| Leaders on this page | 2 of 2 — the complete set |
Three readings. Both Leaders are here, which is only true of characters with a small Leader count; a Luffy list cannot do that. The ceiling is 9,000, well below the 12,000 that Shanks reaches five times, so Zoro is a character whose cards are numerous rather than enormous. And Green dominates at 13 of 35 — more than Red, Yellow and Black combined in the character’s identity.

Only two of the ten come from starter decks, and none from a promo — the opposite pattern from Luffy, whose Leader run leans heavily on starter decks and promos. A Zoro collection is therefore easier to assemble from booster product and harder to finish at the very top, where two of the four 9,000-power cards arrived through Extra Boosters.
If you want one card
Take OP01-001, the first Zoro Leader. It is the card that states what the character is, it is 5 life like every other Zoro Leader, and it is the one card in the run that a deck builder will always have a use for. If you want a Character card instead, take OP06-118 — the 9-cost 9,000, the highest point on both numbers that Zoro has ever printed.

Frequently asked questions
How many Roronoa Zoro cards are there?
Bandai lists 33 Roronoa Zoro Character cards and 2 Leader cards, 35 in total, spread across 31 products. That is the second-highest card count in the One Piece Card Game, behind Monkey.D.Luffy at 82.
Why does Roronoa Zoro have only two Leader cards?
That is simply how often Bandai has revisited him at the top of a deck. Zoro has two Leaders — one Red from OP-01 and one Green from OP-12 — and 33 Character cards. Luffy, one place above him in total card count, has seventeen Leaders. The gap is in deck-building attention, not in cards printed.
What is the highest power Roronoa Zoro card?
9,000 power, reached by four cards: OP06-118, EB04-007, OP16-035 and OP16-053. His highest cost is 9, on OP06-118. Nothing Zoro has printed reaches the 12,000 power that Shanks reaches five times.
Which colour appears most on Roronoa Zoro cards?
Green, with 13 of the 35 cards carrying it. Red follows with 8, then Yellow with 6, Black with 4, and Blue and Purple with 2 each. Both of his Leaders are single-colour, so colour identity is unambiguous across the run.
